125 ACU ACADEMY CUP
The MCRCB Directors have agreed the following:-
1. The 125 ACU Academy Cup will be organised within the 2005 British 125GP Championship.
2. The aim of the Cup is to focus attention on those riders of 16 years of age and under.
3. All riders aged 16 years and under will be automatically entered into the ACU Academy Cup competition, as well as being eligible to score points and receive awards in the British 125GP Championship.
4. The ACU Academy will provide support for these riders at events, however that is optional except for the compulsory briefings and any directives issued by MCRCB or MCRCB-Events.
5. Riders must be 16 years of age or under on the 28
th
March 2005. The minimum age is 14 years, however riders who are currently 13 but 14 during the season may apply to the MCRCB for dispensation. Only riders who hold an ACU/SACU National/International Road Race licence will be considered.
6. All MCRCB regulations, including technical, will apply with the following exceptions:-
a) The colour of the front number plate will be Yellow with a Black Number.
b) An ACU Academy logo must be fixed close to this front number plate. The sticker will be approximately the size of this years âTHINK!â sticker in the Superbike class and the positioning will be determined jointly between Dorna and the ACU with any series sponsor taking priority.
7. The 125 ACU Academy Cup will be promoted by Dorna with the full support of the ACU Academy and a joint statement will be issued by these parties in the near future to cover promotions, awards and the role of the ACU Academy.
