2004 BRITISH SUPERBIKE FINAL CALENDAR AND ENTRY LIST RELEASED

2004 BRITISH SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP

MCRCB Events today releases information regarding the final calendar, financial awards fund and the entry list for the 2004 British Superbike Championship.

The final calendar confirms a thirteen round series with visits to ten venues throughout Great Britain plus Mondello Park in the Republic of Ireland. For the first time in the Series history there will be a round held at the popular Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire as well as the return after a one year absence to Mallory Park. All events will each continue to receive over three hours LIVE television coverage on Sky Sports together with a Superbike highlights show on BBC TV's flagship Grandstand programme. The first public event of the season is a Preview Day at Donington Park on Sunday 14 th March which will feature on-track action for all classes as well as an "open paddock" and lunchtime "pitlane walkabout".

  • All events comprise: British Superbike Championship/Cup, British Supersport Championship, British 125cc Championship

  • National Superstock Championship and Virgin Mobile Yamaha R6 Cup appear at all events with the exception of Mondello Park.

  • National Superstock Championship double header round at Mallory Park.

  • Guest races to be held at selected events include: Eastern Airways National Sidecar Championship, Benelux Kawasaki Cup (subject to contract).

The financial awards fund for the 2004 British Superbike Championship and its supporting Championships is confirmed as in excess of £530,000.
