Yamaha Motor UK in conjunction with Virgin Mobile and Rob McElnea Racing are pleased to announce details of the 2005 Virgin Mobile Yamaha R6 Cup.

This highly successful series has been created to provide an equal opportunity to our bright young British road racing stars of the future and at the same time raise the profile of our sport with the help of title sponsor Virgin Mobile. The 2004 Championship has proven to be an enormous success and a fantastic shop window for more than current Champion Richard Wren and with the forthcoming Channel 5 Television series of `Natural Born Racers' the series will again gain even wider exposure.

With 2 years experience of R6 Cup racing behind us and the amazing success of Tommy Hill in the British Superbike Championship, we are now able to look forward to the 2005 championship which will be even bigger and better. The Championship continues to offer affordable all-inclusive, high profile racing with the unique prize for the overall winner and substantial prizes for 2 ^nd and 3 ^rd places.

• Team Virgin Mobile Samsung Yamaha Superbike Team - 2006 contract for overall winner

• Refund of entry fee £18,000 for winner, £9,000 for 2 ^nd , £4,500 for 3 ^rd .

• Sky TV coverage and extensive media support

• 12 round series run alongside British Superbike Championship (all events except Mondello Park)

• All maintenance and support from the experienced Rob McElnea Racing Ltd company with no hidden additional cost

• Team Virgin Mobile hospitality package for all riders and 2 guests

• Moto GP Cup event in addition to championship (to be confirmed)

• Personal sponsor space on all machines and riders leathers

• Prize fund for all rounds down to 10 ^th Place

• Opportunity to purchase a 2005 R6 practice bike at a special subsidised price through your official UK appointed authorised Yamaha dealer.

Entry fee of £ 18,000 +VAT to be paid in instalments.

£3000 + vat paid on acceptance by 9 ^th January 2005 (non refundable)

£5000 + vat on 29 ^th February 2005

£5000 + vat on 30 ^th April 2005

£5000 + vat on 30 ^th June 2005
