Adding spice to this Sunday's seventh round of the THINK! British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch will be the appearance of the two Renegade Ducati riders, fresh from their highly successful World Superbike weekend at Silverstone.

Noriyuki Haga, with a victory and a second place, has moved into contention to take the World title that he narrowly missed out on four years ago as he finished as runner up, and the exciting Japanese rider will be aiming to turn on the speed and style on the Kent grand prix circuit, both to show what might have been on his debut into the British series at Oulton Park, and also to gain valuable mileage and testing for the World Championship action to be staged at Brands Hatch on Sunday 1 August when he intends to better his current third place in the overall standings.

Haga's team-mate Leon Haslam is also well on the pace. Fresh from his third place in Oschersleben, the Derbyshire rider took fifth and fourth places last Sunday at Silverstone, and with his father 'Rocket' Ron continuing to give help and advice in the pits, expect to see him challenging up front, and providing yet another problem for the regular pace-makers and their title dreams.

John Reynolds, still recovering from the broken collar-bone he sustained in a crash last time out at Thruxton, reckons he will be racing his Rizla Suzuki, as he bids to extend his eights points advantage in the series ahead of HM Plant Honda rider Michael Rutter. Yukio Kagayama returns to the Suzuki line up, having recovered from the broken collarbone, sustained in a crash during qualifying for the Suzuka 300kms, having missed the sixth round, but Hawk Kawasaki's talented Aussie Glen Richards is ruled out of the action, having sustained a broken arm in a crash at the Hampshire circuit. He is replaced by John McGuinness who last week completed a winning triple in the Isle of Man TT races.
