May 2004
Donington Park's 2004 Cinzano British Grand Prix
, on Sunday 25
th
July, boasts the biggest International race programme since Britain's rounds in the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix first took place at the Leicestershire venue in 1987.
The SUPERSPORT International Race of Champions is an exciting new addition to the Sunday Grand Prix programme.
The race is INTERNATIONAL status and will be held to FIM TECHNICAL RULES however unlike the World Championship there is NO CONTROL TYRE.
The race will be held over 23 LAPS of the Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit, which will take place immediately after the MOTOGP race.
There will be two 45 minutes practice sessions over Friday and Saturday.
Teams and riders from the World and National Championships across Europe are invited to participate in front of what is likely to be the biggest trackside audience for a SUPERSPORT race in 2004.
