MCRCB JUDICAL PROCEDURE

Following the conclusion of BSB race two, a protest was received by the Judical Clerk of the Course from Airwaves Ducati concerning the eligibility of the crankshaft of the motorcycle of rider no. 2. (art. 5.2.3.6.22).

The engine of the machine was subject to a full post-race examination under MCRCB Technical Control.

The following was determined:

The crankshaft was weighed and found to be 7798g - the homolgated part is 7780g with a tolerance of plus/minus 300g.

The material was confirmed as steel (the homologated material).

The bearing journal sizes were measured and found to be as homologated.

The original casting marks are present.

In conclusion, the MCRCB Technical Director confirms that the part is in full conformity with both the relevant FIM homolgation papers and the MCRCB 2006 Superbike Technical Regulations.

The protest is rejected.
