NATIONAL SUPERSTOCK CHAMPIONSHIP - BRANDS HATCH

MCRCB Events, the organisers of the National Superstock Championship regret to announce the death of Huddersfield rider Darren Mitchell.

The 31-year old rider was involved in a multiple accident on the opening lap.

He was treated at the circuit, and the air-lifted by the Kent Air Ambulance to Maidstone Hospital where he died of his injuries later in the evening.

The other riders involved are receiving treatment in appropriate hospitals within the region.

Jamie Morley was airlifted, by HEMS, to The London Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Mark Heckles was transferred to the Queen Mary Hospital, Sidcup, with a broken pelvis and leg.

Dean Johnson was transferred to Darenth Valley Hospital, Dartford with a broken leg.

Paul Moojiman was transferred to Darenth Valley Hospital, Dartford for overnight observation.
