Renegade Ducati have confirmed that their riders, Noriyuki Haga and Leon Haslam, will be riding as "wild-card" entries in the fourth round of the THINK! British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park on Holiday Monday 3 May.
The Cheshire based team are concentrating their efforts on the World Superbike series this season, but are taking in selected rounds of the domestic championship.
Haga, the winner of the second race in the opening round of the World Championship at Valencia, is currently placed fifth overall.
The Japanese rider who is renowned for his exciting, hard charging style, is a firm favourite with British race-fans but faces a tough debut into the British championship, having never before ridden the demanding circuit.
His team-mate, Haslam, knows Oulton Park well, having raced there regularly, including last season when he graduated from Renegade's Supersport Ducati to ride for them in the August Superbike meeting, taking eighth and seventh places.
Renegade enjoyed considerable domestic success in their two years of domestic championship action, winning the Team title in 2002, and last term taking Michael Rutter to third place in the rankings.
